Lunar New Year Lunch And Celebration

On Saturday, January 25th between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm, we welcome the coming of the Golden Rat with a series of New Year’s Day activities and everyone is welcome to participate. Join Ven. Guang Guo Shih in reciting the Medicine Sutra, praying for blessings and wishing everyone peace and health.

Delicious Cantonese vegetarian food and red bean dumplings will be served, in show of Chan Space’s dedication to reduce global carbon emission.

The day has been thoughtfully organized to celebrate Chinese traditions as well as promoting sustainable living through a rich program of activities for all, children and adults. Come and learn about the Heart Sutra and calligraphy; make traditional paper cutouts; paint your very own reusable shopping bags. This day of activities promises to be entertaining to all, parents and children.

Chan Space New York is opening the house on the occasion of the Spring Festival for the Year of the Golden Rat, hoping to attract all lovers of Chinese culture and inviting all in the Greater New York Area to enjoy and experience these traditions together. It is Ven.
